It's our pleasure to share with you the following updates on the Terry Larrazabal Bike Festival which will be held in Ormoc City, Philippines on October 22-24, 2004:

1. Events and Race Categories
We shall be having the following events:
RACES :
Mountain Bike :
Cross-Country Competition
Single Speed Cross Country Challenge
Donwhill Competition (men & women's category)
Fourcross (4X)
Criterium
Mud Bog Challenge

Road Bike :
Criterium

BMX :
Freestyle Competition

OTHER EVENTS :

Fun ride around Lake Danao
Night ride around Ormoc City


2. Registration information
We shall be accepting registration by August 1. You can log on and register on-line in our website, www.terrylarrazabalbikefest.com , or email us at tlbf@pacific.net.ph so we can send registration forms to your club/team.
Deadline for submission of registration forms will be on 21 October 2004.
We will be giving a special discount for early registrants.


3. Bike Exhibit
We're announcing that we'll be having a Bike Exhibit during the festival. This includes cycling memorabilia (autographed jerseys, posters, cycling pins, etc.), bikes (downhill mountain bikes, hardtail mountain bikes, soft-tail mountain bikes, road bikes, etc.), and different frames utilizing various materials (steel, aluminum, titanium, carbon fiber). The exhibit will be open to the public, to encourage more people to get into cycling (specially wives, husbands, girlfriends, boyfriends and children).


4. Discounts (transportation & accommodation)
Accommodations:
Participants will be able to avail of discounts on hotel room rates in Hotel Don Felipe (Official Residence).
Another option would be for participants to camp out by the beach. Adequate security will be provided in the beach resort, which is a ten minute bike ride from the race site.

Transportation:
Watch out for news within the month for discounts on air fare to Cebu and Tacloban (nearest airports to Ormoc City).
We'll also be sending out an announcement within the month on discounts on boat fares to Ormoc City that can be availed of by festival participants.


5. Free Haircut
Based on the overwhelming response last year, we're bringing back the "free haircut" this year. For the whole day of Friday, any and all participants can avail of a free haircut which will be located at the back of the registration area.
