Human-Powered Travel ... Healthy, Clean, Fun

This German couple rode thru Russia, Pakistan, India, and China to get to the beaches of Koh Samui. They are on a 5-year trip ... next stop Australia. These people are hardcore; if they could pedal there they would.

This is Trevor McGaw and Nash Gallo and work at an International School in Bangkok. They rode here from Bangkok and will make it down to Kuala Lumpur in the next few weeks.

Thomas is one of the more colorful bikers we've met. He comes from a family of blacksmiths in Germany. Notice he's riding a MTB with no front suspension, also he has a very narrow handle bar which is for navigating between cars in Bangkok.

Thomas loves new bike technology. He's got a 12-volt lead acid battery, 2 horns, and a motorcycle halogen headlamp. The one horn sounds like a Thai ambulance. The Bangkok traffic police just smile and wave when Thomas turns that one on.

While Thomas was here he rented a motorcycle to see if he could mount the motorcycle's fairing on his MTB ... it actually worked pretty well. The motorcycle rental lady somehow found out about it and nearly killed him (literally).

Here is Stefan signing in at Red Bicycle World Bike Traveler's headquarters.

He is riding an older Stumpjumper fully loaded with some cool panniers.

He is from Switzerland and intends to ride all over SouthEast Asia for 6 months.

He'll be going to Indonesia, Borneo, Thailand, Phillipines and Japan.

Henk and Weisje bought two Cannondale F300 Mountain Bikes from 'Red Bicycle' here in Ko Samui. They never intended to spend their vacation bicycling to Maylasia when they arrived here in Ko Samui, but here in Thailand anything can happen.
