Koh Phangan Mountain Bike Race:

Koh Phangan is Koh Samui's sister island located about half an hour North by boat. Samui has heart-stopping mountain bike downhills while Phangan has lots of technical single tracks winding thru jungles and overlooking tropical beaches. The Southern Thailand Mountain Biking Association did a fine job of finding ideal trails. In cooperation with the Thailand Public Health Organization they were able to put on a mountain bike race with over 200 entrants from all over Southern Thailand. Mountain Bicycle clubs from Pattani, Phuket, Nakorn Si, and Suratthani all showed up on 2May2004 for some great fun and comraderee.
